The Adulting School invites you to a cooking class for grown-ups.
Staying in for Valentine's Day? Keeping things low on the budget but high on the...heat? (So many puns in that one.)
Join us for a cooking class where you will learn how to Make a Romantic Dinner at Home. Stay for the perfect wine pairings by one of Portland's favorite sommelier.
The event starts at 5:30 at Cloudport (63 Federal St, Portland, ME)
-mingle, network and sample a small bite provided by Chef Amy Kayne.
-learn to cook a simple, inexpensive meal that looks and tastes fancier than the process entails.
-the meal can be simply changed to fit some dietary needs such as vegetarian and gluten free.
-Chef Amy will complete the dish but everyone samples the final product
-Erica Archer, your wine sommelier (fancy name for someone who teaches you about wine), pairs 2 delicious wines to complement the meal. She will provide you with excellent tips for pairing wine and food. A skill you will be thrilled to have learned from such a highly-regarded and fun teacher. Your ticket will include a 1/2 glass of each wine.
-there are limited tickets so that everyone can see, hear, sample adequately while also being able to ask any questions.
(Not feeling very romantic? Cook this meal for yourself! Cook it for your roommate. Or your mom. We hope you'll join us regardless.)
